NEW GENERATION, TRADITIONAL AUSTRALIAN TOWN – EYNESBURY, VICTORIA
A short 15 minute drive from the centre of Melton, exists a peaceful new generation, a traditional Australian town – Eynesbury. If you’re wanting to be away from the hustle and bustle of busy towns and live among beautiful forest and bush land then you should definitely consider this exquisite place. Eynesbury is considered Victoria’s newest township and is located 40km West of Melbourne’s CBD.
Home to the historical handcrafted bluestone Homestead which began in 1872, soon after in 1885 was extended to include Staff Quarters and stables. Today Eynesbury Homestead is the home of a golf course, restaurant, wedding venue, function centre and Spike Bar Café. Surrounded by 1500 metres of natural beauty, including a number of open park spaces where residents can sit back and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Eynesbury has a reduced number of cars on the roads; as the community tends to spend their time walking through the scenery. Recently Eynesbury has started hosting a Farmer’s Market, next to the Homestead every Sunday, where locals and visitors have the opportunity to purchase local fruit, veg, dairy, meats and more!
Every house in Eynesbury is connected to class ‘A Recycled Water’ and therefore residents are able to maintain green gardens and wash their cars even under draught conditions. This is connected by a third pipe, completely separated from drinking water. Eynesbury is the first Victorian Community to be accredited with a 6 star sustainability rating, saving 50% of its potable water supply through recycling.
There is a current plan underway for a town centre in Eynesbury, it will have its own commercial offices, supermarket, café’s and community facilities. The town centre will be located directly opposite the planned school sites and across the road from the new Eynesbury Sporting Precinct. Education facilities are of course highly important, therefore two schools are currently being planned; so future generations will have a place to grow, learn and play within their own community. There is also an equestrian centre which is available for use by the community and walking trails through the beautiful forests.
The median price for homes for sale in Eynesbury is $557,000 and to rent the median is $370 p/w as of January 2019.
