Make a list

Set a budget and then prioritise. Make a list of all the essentials and record your allowance for each room. If you’re on a very narrow budget, think about which rooms you will be spending most of your time in and fill them first.

Keep your eyes peeled

Subscribe to your favourite stores and brands to receive all the latest bargains, they will keep you updated on the best sales and deals. Carry out price comparisons and look out for price match deals.

DIY

Remember, the internet is your friend. If you haven’t already used apps like Pinterest and Tumblr then you are missing out! These types of websites are the go-to for anything decor on a budget and you get to have a little bit of fun along the way. Check them out for everything DIY or styling ideas.

Utilise pre-loved items

Consult markets, Gumtree, Facebook Marketplace and garage sales before spending your money on something brand new, often times people are selling unused items cheap! Real gems can be found tucked away in unlikely places if you’ve got the time to hunt. There’s nothing wrong with repairing or enhancing items you already own. A coat of paint or a new set of handles may be all that’s needed to refresh an old piece.
