Melton As Melton continues to grow, the Kurunjang area now has a new community hub that consists of activities and classes, a teaching kitchen and an edible garden.
The hub will enable the community to come together and involve themselves with other members within Kurunjang.
During the official opening, the kitchen was utilised for a cooking demonstration by former MasterChef finalist, Tim Bone. The hub involves classes in healthy eating and food preparation, accredited courses and cultural cooking classes.
The hub also includes a space for student support services and community meetings.
The state government contributed $2.35 million towards the hub, and the Melton council contributed $300,000.
