Melton Rockbank Train Station has just been updated and it is looking fantastic! The station has been closed for the past 6 weeks so that the final improvements and installations could be completed. Trains will be back in use from Monday the 26th of August.
Some of the many features now included in this great facility are; a pedestrian overpass with elevators, ramps and stairs. A whopping 350 car space car park, CCTV, plenty of seating and a new bus terminal. Ideally located on Leakes Road in Rockbank, it will be great to see the Melton community put this new station to use. This is especially great news for Melton City’s newest suburbs Thornhill Park and the Woodlea Estate as it will be the closest train station.
Sunday the 25th of August is the official reopening day for the new Rockbank Train Station, and you can head there between 10am and 1pm to catch a sneak peek and join in on the activities. There will be tours of the rebuilt station, sporting activities, family entertainment, food and drinks plus give-aways.
