If you’re thinking of making the move to Melton, you may be concerned about public transport. Whether it be that you need to travel to surrounding Melton suburbs, or even the inner city, our public transport system has got you covered!

The area comprises of several bus stops throughout numerous neighbourhoods, and a train station in Melton South that has been open and running since 1884.

The train station includes two VLine train lines (Ballarat and Bendigo) which both run 7 days a week, making it easy for commuters to travel from Melton, to as far as Southern Cross Station.

Bus services enable members of the community to travel throughout all areas within Melton and even to Rockbank, Caroline Springs, St Albans, Taylors Lakes and Sunshine. Additionally, there are two ‘Nightrider’ services which operate between 1:30am to 4:30am on Saturdays, and 1:30am to 5:30am on Sundays, to ensure that commuters have a safe way home at night.

Approximately 40kms from all of the hustle and bustle of the Melbourne City, Melton is the perfect area to escape and relax. However, it is just a short 40 minute train ride to Southern Cross station, if you want to spend a night out in the city! What more could you want?
